I know the title of this blog post might have taken you a little bit by surprise but, to get it out of the way, I can assure you that it’s not a late April Fools joke, May really is the last Hobby Hoard.
But make no mistake, Hobby Hoard will be back - new and improved.
To explain, we have been weighing up the options and taking all positive and negative feedback into consideration over the last couple of months, and we’ve decided that the monthly subscription doesn’t allow us to give you, the subscriber, the exact product that we want to.
To highlight some naivety on our part, we did not anticipate how fast Hobby Hoard would grow, and we are already struggling to obtain products in the quantities that we need to provide you with the best possible quality Hoard each and every month. In most cases, you are receiving products that have been put into production specifically for us, as the manufacturers just don’t have enough stock sitting around. Unfortunately, a lot of the time, this means products that are our first choice are unavailable. Some products just can’t be guarentee'd in time. It’s a weird situation to be in, but we are determined to not idly stand by and let you pay the same money for a product that ultimately is not what we wanted to give you.
We are taking our experiences from the last year, all of our positive and negative feedback, and we are pouring that into the best possible version of Hobby Hoard, which will re-launch soon.
To all of our current subscribers, we hope you stick with us by following on our social media for updates, as well as our mailing list. You helped us come to this conclusion with your feedback, and we will return the favour by eventually giving you the best possible product, for the cheapest possible price.
So, as it stands, signing up in April is your last chance to get, what will be known going forward as the "Classic" Hobby Hoard. All subscriptions will be cancelled on May 10th.
If you are currently in the middle of a 3 month subscription, then unfortunately your remaining hoards after May will just be refunded to you. We apologise for any inconvenience but we can assure you that going forward, you will appreciate this change.
